Top Criminals of UP: UP Police is in action after the Vikas Dubey’s famous Bikru Kand in which 8 braveheart policemen lost their lives. UP Government is taking strict actions against the criminals in UP. Many of them are killed in the encounter and many are arrested by the police. Recently, criminal-turned-politician, Mukhtar Ansari’s illegal properties were demolished in Lucknow. In the past few months, police have killed around 119 alleged criminals of UP, and 2,258 were injured in 6,145 encounters. It is very much easy to understand that Yogi Adityanath is back on his “thok do” policy and is taking every possibly strict action against the criminals.

Uttar Pradesh has a very strong and infamous criminal history. From Mukhtaar Ansaari to Brajesh Singh there are many criminals in UP who are now politicians but they ended up in jail due to their criminal history. Here are some of the topmost criminals of Uttar Pradesh who are charged for numerous crimes but have a very strong hold in their area and hence they have won election many times. Well, UP police are taking actions against them but somehow the police is only responsible for their encouragement, it is not hidden from anyone that what all happened in Bikru, Kanpur was due to loopholes in the police department.

Mukhtar Ansari, also known as the lion of Purwanchal, has played a major role in the UP’s crime. His criminal activities covered districts like Varanasi, Mau, Jaunpur, and Ghazipur. He stepped into the game as a gang member of Makhanu Singh. The gang wars led by him were so brutal that more than a dozen people got killed every time.

Munna Bajrangi was referred to as his right hand in UP and it is said that on Ansari’s orders, Munna Bajrangi murdered former BJP MLA Krishnanand Rai and a popular wrestler Shyaam Kanhaiyaa Singh who was also a part of Makhanu Singh’s rival gang. As of now, he is in jail and the government has already started recovering the illegal properties acquired by him and keeping a check on his close ones.

Brajesh Singh

Brajesh Singh

Brajesh Singh, also known as Arun Kumar Singh, is the only gangster in the history of Purwanchal to challenge Mukhtar Ansari and stay alive after that. He was a member of Makhanu Singh’s rival gang namely Sahib Singh’s gang. After that, he formed his own gang and came into a direct clash with Mukhtar and his people and also snatched a 100 crore project from him that included coal mining, railway construction, and a lot more.

Brajesh stepped in this gang and other stuff to take the revenge of his father’s death. He also had links with Daud Ibrahim who is one of the deadliest criminals of India. Brajesh killed 4 members of the Arun Gawli gang in Mumbai at JJ Hospital to take the revenge of Daud’s brother in law’s death. Soon after the 1993 blasts, Brajesh started hating Daud and even conspired to kill him but failed. Due to this, Brajesh Singh is often referred to as the Hindu Don or Desh Bhakt don. Presently, he is in the Varanasi jail.

Atique Ahmed is a household name when it is something about top criminals of UP. He won the MLA elections from Allahabad for five consecutive years. He was recently arrested when he was caught assaulting the staff of the Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology, and Sciences (SHIATS).

His case of kidnapping and torturing a businessman in Deoria gained a lot of negative publicity for him and the video of him beating the teachers and the staff of SHIATS also went viral. As of now, he is in the Bareilly Jail.

Sundar Bhati

Sundar Bhati

Sundar Bhati is recognized as one of the most popular gangsters of Gautam Budh Nagar (Delhi NCR). He attempted his first murder in the year 1993 and killed Dhankod Sharma. He got into a gang war with his close friend Naresh Bhati over elections and a contract for a bus stop. In 2003, Sundar Bhati attacked Naresh Bhati’s car and gunned down his gunman and driver. However, Naresh Bhati escaped from there anyhow.

After a few months, Naresh Bhati was killed by Sundar Bhati near Ghanghola in 2003. After that Naresh Bhati’s brother Ranpal Bhati killed Sundar’s brother and a few of his close aides. Sundar Bhati was attacked a lot of times but managed to save himself. Currently, he is in jail and will remain there for a long time.
