New Delhi: One of the worst fire incidents happen in national capital Delhi early in the morning. At least 43 people died and almost 56 injured after a fire broke out in Rani Jhansi Road, Central Delhi. This painful incident has shaken the entire nation. Many leaders also expressed grief over the incident and many questioned the system of administration. Many reports are coming out there. We will tell you all the updates which happened.

Police arrested factory owner

Mohammed Rehan, the owner of the factory in Delhi Rani Jhansi Road, which was on fire, has been arrested by the police. A case has been registered under section 304 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Police arrested the owner’s brother too. Also, the police are questioning some relatives of the factory owner.

Factory was running illegal

According to reports, the factory was illegal. The owner of this factory didn’t take clearance and NOC form the fire brigade. Also, MCD was not unaware of this factory. The short circuit was the reason behind it. People were sleeping in the factory when this incident happened. Unfortunately, the gate was locked from outside. Neighbors helped people to rescue.

Compensation announced

The PM Modi has declared a compensation of 2 lakhs rupees for dead and 50 thousand rupees for injureds. Whereas, Aam Admi Party announced a compensation 10 lakhs rupees to dead. CM Arvind Kejriwal has ordered a magisterial inquiry for this incident. CM Kejriwal visited the hospital to meet with injured people.

Politics is going on

BJP MP Manoj Tiwari has demanded a high level of inquiry after this worst incident. Whereas, Aam Aadmi Party is questioning “How MCD was not aware of this building”. Leader and MP of AAP Sanjay Singh said that if the factory was running illegally then, why did MCD not taken any action.
