I have also suffered from the internet connection problem in last few days.
From past few days, I was getting irritated using my internet connection.
I had a complaint to my broadband internet service provider and they told me that the issue is with my computer’s LAN card and not in the internet connectivity.
Later, I installed a new PCI Ethernet Card on my computer and then monitor the internet connection connectivity. Luckily I found the issue on the ISP side.
Again, I complained to my ISP and saw him the fluctuating net connection, then he agreed and changed the Lan RJ45 connector after diagnosing the network issue.
Now my internet connection is working fine.

Well, it can also be an ISP problem, even if your modem, router, DNS server and network connections seem fine.
Most of the time power cycling the hardware can also fix the issues.
So before complaint to your ISP or do monitor internet connection stability, always try to fix the problem by switch off/on the hardware from mains and disable/enable the network device.
Now let’s do the job – check net connection stability.
Below methods to monitor internet connection drops, work for both – wired and wireless networking. Doesn’t matter whether you’re using a cable broadband internet or WiFi network.
How to Ping DNS Server to Monitor Internet Connection Connectivity
The server connection works fine for about 5-10 minutes and breaks for about couples of seconds and then it restores automatically.
The connecting and disconnecting problem occurs the whole day.
And, this is the too much annoying thing when the problem starts all of a sudden when you’re doing some urgent work.
Well, look at the below steps to continuously monitor internet connection connectivity.
Here I am pinging Google’s DNS server IP address (eg: 126.96.36.199) to monitor internet connection drops because Google server never goes down.
So open the Run box by going to start => Run or press Win key + R (shortcut) and type the following command, then hit enter.
ping 188.8.131.52 -t
The –t forces the ping command to run continuously until stopped manually.
Now see the status of your network connectivity. Look at the above screenshot of ping command, it will define you easily.
It shows the live status of your internet connectivity. If the status continuously shows like below example of reply-
Reply from 184.108.40.206: bytes=32 time=285ms TTL=58
It means that the connection is fine, however in all other cases, the internet connection having some issue.
In above example of reply, the response time & TTL numbers could be different on your system.
However, any other numbers also mean the same; the connection is working good.
