Rhea Chakraborty’s bail plea rejected in drugs case

Sushant Singh Rajput’s death: The bail plea of Rhea Chakraborty, prime accuse in the SSR case, has been denied by the Mumbai court. The court rejected the bail plea of both Rhea Chakraborty and his brother Showik Chakraborty along with eight other people involved in the case. It has been confirmed that Rhea will stay in judicial custody until September 22, 2020. Rhea Chakraborty’s lawyer is all set to knock the doors of Bombay High Court for his client’s bail.

Rhea Chakraborty mentioned in her bail plea that she was forced for making a statement that represented her like a culprit. She further said that she is clean and has committed no crime and has been falsely trapped in the case. She also added that the rape and death threats she is getting have made it difficult for her to live a peaceful and mentally stable life.

On the other hand, the Narcotics Control Bureau clearly stated that if the actor (Rhea Chakraborty) gets bail then she will try her best to tweak the evidence. Bureau said that she will use all her position, power, and finances in society to save herself. The organization also said that Rhea was well aware that Sushant used drugs and she also participated in the illegal event by purchasing and consuming drugs with Sushant.

For dealings related to illicit drug trafficking, Rhea Chakraborty used credit cards and payment gateways to complete the transactions. The anti-drugs bureau also said that Rhea’s confessed everything without any pressure of forced circumstances. This clearly means that her confession can be used in the court as a major proof.

As said by the anti-drugs agency, all the drugs purchased by Rhea was not for the purpose of consuming it individually. Instead, it was purchased to supply it to other people. The organization added that Rhea will be booked under Section 27A of the NDPS act and she can not run from it via any means.
